POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
University of Oregon. Department of Sociology invites applications for three tenure-track Assistant Professor positions
to
begin September 2004. Areas are open but the department especially encourages applications from candidates who add
to
or complement existing areas of departmental strength: political/economic sociology, gender, and environment, and/or
candidates who help fill identified needs in the areas of demography, criminology, theory, development, race/ethnicity, and
health/medical sociology. Qualifications: Ph.D. (preferred in hand prior to appointment), commitment to excellence in
