POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
North Carolina State University. The Department of Sociology and Anthropology invites applications for two tenure-track,
assistant professor appointments in the area of social inequality to begin August 16, 2006. Candidates whose research
examines the intersections of race, class, and gender are especially encouraged to apply. The department is also interested
in candidates who can contribute to the work and organizations area or the family area. For one position, the ability to teach
research methods at the graduate level is desirable.Ph.D. in sociology at time of appointment required. Responsibilities
include teaching two courses per semester and an active program of research and grant-seeking. Please send vita, letter of
