POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Florida Atlantic University--The Department of Sociology seeks applicants for two tenure-track positions in sociology at
the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in the Fall 2007. We are interested in critical sociologists with a specialization
in social inequalities. We welcome candidates working in gender, class, or race and in other areas of social inequalities.
Screening of applications will begin November 15th and continue until the position is filled. PhD in Sociology is
required by time of appointment. Scholarly productivity and publication, as well as high-quality teaching, are expected for
advancement. Please send a letter of interest, a Vita, three letters of reference, teaching portfolio (including evaluations,
