POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Tenure-track Assistant Professor
University of California, Riverside. The Department of Sociology invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor
position in the areas of political economy and global social change beginning July 1, 2008, that will augment existing
programs and strengths within the department as well as in the Institute for Research of World Systems, and the College
of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. We are particularly interested in scholars with a focus on gender.
The successful candidate must demonstrate promise of high-quality research productivity and a commitment to teaching
excellence and a Ph.D. is required. Salary for this position is commensurate with the applicants' education and experience
based on the UC pay scale. Applicants are requested to submit a letter of application, a curriculum vitae, scholarly writing
