POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Visiting Professor of Sociology
(A one-year replacement, 2008-2009)
New College of Florida, a small residential, highly selective liberal arts college, seeks a full-year replacement for 2008-2009
(pending budgetary approval). We are especially interested in applicants whose teaching interests are in social and labor
movement, work organization, and/or Latin American area studies. Visiting Professor will teach two courses per semester
(including one section of either Introduction to Sociology or Research Methods), supervise individualized tutorials,
independent study projects, and serve as a member of theses committees. Minimal requirements: Successful teaching
experience; ABD in sociology.
