POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
The Behavioral Sciences Department at the University of Cincinnati, Raymond Walters College invites applications for a
tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Sociology to begin September 2008. The position consists of
primarily teaching undergraduate sections of a two-quarter sequence in Introduction to Sociology, Contemporary Social
Issues and Sociology of the Family. We are especially interested in professionals with specialties in deviance, race/ethnicity,
youth and society, and/or the sociology of the family. The teaching load is 4 sections per quarter with the possibility of at
least one course being taught in the evening.
A Ph.D in Sociology and two-years of undergraduate teaching are required by the starting date of employment. Review of
applications will begin on December 1, 2007 and continue until the position is filled. Salary is competitive and
depends on qualifications and experience.
